Workshops with James Zamora
In these workshops, James will teach students the key to simplifying shapes and the essence of how to see accurate color relationships. We will be focusing on still life. Students will explore the basis of values and color theory through small and simple color exercises painting from life. In addition, you will be introduced to James' concepts and philosophy of painting from life and photographs, including techniques to finish paintings faster. James will demonstrate and provide individual instruction throughout the workshop.
The price of the workshop is $250 per student, with a minimum/maximum of 5 students per class (first come first served). The workshops will be held in James' personal studio, located in Denton, TX (once you have signed up, the specific address will be sent via email). The course duration is 2 hours a day, one day a week, for 6 weeks. Materials will be provided. No refunds, unless the class does not meet (a minimum of 5 students), but cancellations will be given full credit for future workshops.
There are 3 courses offered. The first 6 week course is for ages 6-12. This course will cover the foundational theories of drawing and painting for beginners, and will start on June 4th at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, and meet only on Monday's. The second 6 week course is for ages 13 and up, and will cover the same foundational theories for beginners. This course will start on June 4th at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and meet only on Monday's. The third 6 week course is for adults that have experience in painting and are ready to take their skills to the next level. This course meets on Tuesday's from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. beginning on June 5th.
